Titans of the Ice Age a Finalist for Best Theatrical Program in Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Competition

[Evanston, IL (August 19, 2013)] - Giant Screen Films is pleased to announce that Titans of the Ice Age has been selected as a finalist in the Best Theatrical Program category at the 2013 Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Competition.  Widely hailed as the nature film equivalent to the Oscars®, the Film Competition is part of the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, internationally recognized as the world's premier nature and conservation media event.  This year's competition includes over 540 films entering more than 900 category submissions to compete for 23 awards.

“We’re really honored to be selected as a finalist in this coveted theatrical category," said Andy Wood, Sr. Vice President of Giant Screen Films.  "We set out to make a timely wildlife conservation film from a prehistoric perspective, a cautionary tale comparing and contrasting the plight of the mammoths to the challenges faced by species today – habitat loss, warming climate, intersection with humans.   It’s wonderful to see Titans resonating with audiences in such a positive way.  And it’s certainly exciting for the film to be recognized by the wildlife filmmaking community.”

Winners will be announced at the Grand Teton Awards Gala on Thursday, September 26 in Jackson Hole, WY.
